Quotes and execution

Why did the quoted received amount change?

Compare the preview, accepted confirmation and final record to locate a change in quantity.

Three quantities tell two different stories

Consider these hypothetical cases. A preview shows 100 units, the final confirmation shows 99.5, and the order credits 99.5. The change occurred before acceptance. If the final confirmation showed 100 but the credit was 99.5, the difference occurred afterward. The numerical gap is the same, but the question you need answered is different.

Keep the preview, the conditions you accepted and the actual order record separately. A fresh quote displayed when you reopen the page does not replace a previous confirmation. If a stage was not saved, mark it as missing instead of reconstructing a precise number from memory.

Recheck after changing the order

Changing the amount, selecting another payment method, allowing a countdown to expire or restarting the purchase flow is a reason to reread the final payment and net-received fields. Whether a quote is locked, and what that lock covers, depends on the actual confirmation and terms. A visible countdown alone does not establish a guaranteed final quantity.

If the page asks you to confirm again, read the new values. A similar-looking amount can still have a different price or fee treatment. Our calculator cannot see that your quote refreshed: replace the complete input pair when the conditions change.

Keep each payment paired with its own quantity

Imagine an old preview showing payment of 1,000 and receipt of 400 units, followed by a new preview showing 990 and 390. Combining the new payment with the old quantity creates a cheaper-looking quote that never existed. Save each pair on its own row, together with its time and status.

When comparing another provider or payment route, also record when that quote was obtained. A long gap between observations can include a change in price. You may compare what each quote offered at its own time, but you cannot attribute the whole difference to one provider's fee without matching the relevant conditions.

Find out whether the displayed price was an estimate

Some orders execute under accepted conversion conditions; others may execute through multiple market fills. Check the actual order type and conditions rather than treating every purchase screen as the same execution method. Where fill records exist, combine the traded amounts and quantities to calculate a weighted price. The partial-fill guide explains the arithmetic.

Price movement does not automatically explain every shortfall. If a confirmation explicitly established a net quantity and the credit differs, the difference still needs an order or fee explanation.

Before payment, pause; afterward, trace the existing order

Before paying, you can stop and decide whether the refreshed quote still meets your budget and quantity requirement. There is no need to make a purchase merely to test the page. After paying, check the existing order's status before doing anything that could create another payment.

When asking official support, say between which two stages the first difference appears. Use authentic records and relevant screenshots; do not recreate an old confirmation as evidence. Remove unrelated personal information from public discussions. For the later payment and credit checks, continue with the receipt reconciliation guide.
