Pin down what “expected” means
Are you remembering a market price from search, or the quote you confirmed before paying? Find the actual order, including payment currency, amount, asset and expected net quantity. Without those fields, memory alone cannot establish a shortfall.
Binance’s card-purchase documentation notes that price conversion and fees affect the amount received. That is a reason to examine more than the fee line; it does not prove the charges on your particular order were correct.

Check three places in order
- Payment account: distinguish settled charges from pending authorisations and check for separate bank or currency-conversion costs.
- Confirmed order: note the final purchase amount, fee currency, status and time.
- Asset credit: find the individual incoming record, not only the wallet’s current total, which later activity can change.
All three should refer to the same order. An order ID and an on-chain transaction hash serve different purposes. Do not offset two unrelated transactions merely because they occurred close together.
Where does the mismatch appear?
- The bank debit exceeds the order payment
- Compare the settled debit and order currencies, then look for separate bank charges or conversion records. A pending authorisation is not automatically a second settled payment.
- The order is processing and no matching credit appears
- Read that order’s status and processing guidance, and retain the payment evidence. A final received quantity is not yet available to compare. A similar timestamp alone does not identify the matching credit.
- The order is complete but its credit is below the net quantity
- Match the asset, wallet and order. If a gap remains, retain both original quantities and any fee entries for official support to check.
- The credit matches, but the current balance is lower
- Use the example below to check later outflows, internal transfers, conversions and fees.
A 365 USDT credit, but only 355 in the wallet?
This is a hypothetical example, not an account statement. Track USDT in one wallet only: it held 20 USDT before the purchase, received 365 USDT and then had a total outflow of 30 USDT, with no other changes.
The balance is 10 below the purchase credit, but that does not establish a 10 USDT purchase shortfall. Compare the order’s net quantity with its individual credit to check the purchase. Include every change in the period to check the balance. Here, 30 means the total deducted from this wallet; if the record lists a separate fee in the same asset, include it separately without counting it twice.
If those 30 USDT moved to another wallet you own, the original wallet falls and the destination should have a corresponding record. One spot wallet and the entire account are different scopes. Keep the wallet, asset, time interval and timezone consistent. Do not mix USDT quantities with a displayed fiat valuation.
For a download, use the official transaction-history instructions and cover both the purchase and subsequent activity. Retain the original file and mark matched or missing entries in a copy.

Separate an asset quantity from its displayed valuation
An account's estimated value in local currency can fall while the asset quantity remains unchanged. Open the relevant asset record and find the purchase credit before comparing the current valuation. An unchanged quantity with a changed converted value points toward the valuation price or conversion currency; a changed quantity needs the actual inflow and outflow records.
Rewrite “I received much less” as a specific difference. A confirmation of 100 units followed by a credit of 99.8 is an asset difference of 0.2. A settled bank payment of 1,010 against an order payment of 1,000 is a cash difference of 10. These gaps occur in different places and should not be explained together with an unspecified fee.
If all you have is a screenshot of total account value, you do not yet have enough information to identify a purchase shortfall.
Obtain the order reference and corresponding credit. This prevents later market movement from being mistaken for an execution problem.
Align the records without overwriting their original times
A bank can show an authorization time and a settlement date. An order may show creation or execution time; the asset ledger shows its credit time. These fields can differ. Preserve the original labels and timezone, then add a normalized time column for your own comparison. Support staff may need the original timestamp to find the same record.
Several purchases on one day can have matching amounts. Prefer order identifiers, payment references and explicit linking fields; use amount, currency, time and status only to narrow uncertain matches. If two matches remain possible, mark them unresolved rather than choosing the closest time.
Export a range that covers the surrounding activity.
A transaction near midnight can appear on different calendar dates across timezones. Expanding the range is safer than editing a date to force a match. The record preparation guide also covers long identifiers and regional decimal formats.
Pending authorizations and final charges need separate columns
Two similar card entries do not establish two final payments. Record each status and reference and ask the bank whether they represent the same purchase. Equally, do not promise that one entry will disappear without checking the bank's explanation. Keep pending amounts outside a confirmed-spending total while retaining them as unresolved items.
If a settled charge exceeds the order total, inspect the original currency, conversion information and any separately listed bank charge. These are possible places to investigate, not explanations already proven for your transaction. Use the bank's own stated inquiry period rather than a universal waiting time invented by this site.
Refunds also require direction and status.
In a hypothetical cancellation, a payment of 1,000 followed by a settled refund of 990 leaves net cash spending of 10. That does not establish that retaining 10 was valid. Check the linked refund, currency and fee records, and leave pending amounts separate. The card-statement guide focuses on this cash side.
An account balance needs the opening balance and every movement
For one asset within one account boundary, opening balance plus inflows minus outflows should equal closing balance. A purchase is only one inflow. In a worked example, an opening balance of 10, a purchase credit of 100, a transfer out of 20 and a separate fee of 0.1 produce a closing balance of 89.9. Comparing 89.9 directly with the purchase of 100 would mix earlier holdings and later activity.
Keep account types separate while matching internal transfers. A debit from one account and credit to another can change the first account's balance without moving assets outside the platform. When aggregating platform holdings, cancel only verified corresponding transfer pairs. An internal credit is not a second purchase and should not inflate acquired quantity when calculating cost.
If the two sides use different assets, look for a conversion or execution record rather than treating them as a simple transfer. An unexplained row stays unresolved; do not create an adjustment merely because the totals then agree.
Follow execution and withdrawal as different stages
The requested order quantity can exceed the executed quantity. A hypothetical order for 100 that fills 60 and 30 before the remaining 10 are cancelled bought 90 gross units. The cancelled remainder is not a missing credit. The execution guide explains weighted pricing and the distinction between released reserved funds and a refund.
After execution, determine whether fees were deducted from the bought asset or another balance. If gross purchase is 200, a disclosed deduction is 0.4 and net credit is 199.6, the quantities can reconcile. If the accepted field explicitly promised a net 200, an actual 199.6 still needs an explanation; the similar-looking fee amount does not prove the deduction was correct. See fee treatment before adjusting either side.
A later withdrawal adds another stage.
Keep purchase credit, platform withdrawal debit and external wallet credit distinct. The order reference and a blockchain transaction hash are not interchangeable, and an internal movement may have no hash. Use the delivery check for network, recipient and net-quantity conditions.
Treat a small residual as a question until its basis is clear
An interface may round quantities more heavily than an export. Calculate from the original available precision and round the displayed result only at the end. Do not truncate every row first. However, a small unexplained difference is not automatically rounding: check the precision and missing fee or movement rows before assigning a cause.
For support, describe the first unexplained stage: the accepted field, actual matching record, numerical difference and the related fees you checked.
Missing confirmation evidence should be disclosed as missing. A newly recreated screen or somebody else's screenshot cannot replace it.
Once payment, net purchase quantity and credit correspond, mark that purchase stage reconciled. Keep later withdrawal or unsettled bank issues separate. Retain original files, the working explanation and any official ticket reference. The goal is a question that another person can reproduce, not a set of edited totals that happens to balance.
Ask a precise question if the gap remains
Collect the order ID, timestamp with timezone, confirmed payment and received quantity. Describe the issue as “I expected X, the record shows Y, and the difference appears at Z.” Hide unrelated personal and account information before sharing relevant evidence with official support.
Do not place another identical order to compensate for an unexplained gap or edit original records to force a match. Vexdu cannot access your account, reverse an order or resolve a dispute.
