Bought too little crypto on Binance to withdraw? Minimums, network fees and Small Amount Exchange

Your Binance withdrawal won't submit because the balance is too small. Check the minimum and network fee for the network you picked, then decide: switch networks, top up, leave it, or convert it with Small Amount Exchange.

The withdrawal won't submit: check the minimum for that network

Say you bought a small amount of a coin on Binance and want it in your own wallet. You paste the address, type the amount, and the form refuses to go through. Usually nothing is wrong with the account. The balance just hasn't reached the minimum withdrawal for the network you selected.

Binance's withdrawal-fee FAQ puts it plainly: on top of the fee, every withdrawal request has a minimum amount, and if the amount is too small you can't submit it. Both numbers depend on the network and can change without notice. You'll find them on the Deposit & Withdrawal Fees page and on the withdrawal screen itself.

Before deciding anything, write down three things from the withdrawal screen: the network, its minimum, and its network fee.

Right at the limit? It depends whether the fee is added or deducted

When your balance sits close to the minimum, how you enter the amount matters. Binance's withdrawal guide describes two ways:

  • Receive amount: enter what the recipient should get. The network fee is added on top, so more leaves your account.
  • Withdrawal amount: enter the total. The fee comes out of it and the recipient gets the rest.

The figures below only show the arithmetic; they aren't real fees for any coin. Suppose the screen shows a minimum of 10, a fee of 0.8, and you have 10.5 available. Entering a total of 10.5 works and the recipient gets 9.7. Asking for exactly 10 to arrive needs 10.8, which you don't have.

One more field is easy to miss: the account you send from. Crypto bought by card or P2P may sit in your Funding account, so if Spot is selected, the balance looks too low. If you aren't sure where the coins landed, this guide on finding which account a purchase went to walks through it.

Switching to a cheaper network? Ask the receiving side first

Picking another network is the quickest fix and the riskiest one. Binance warns against choosing a network just because its fee is lower: if the receiving address doesn't support it, the funds may be lost for good.

Check with the wallet or platform you're sending to. Which networks does it accept for this coin? Is the deposit address format the same? Does it need a tag or memo? If it only accepts the network with the higher minimum, that minimum is the one you have to meet.

If more than one network works, compare them by the amount that actually arrives, not by the fee column alone. The cost of sending crypto to your own wallet sets out the full comparison.

Three ways out: top up, leave it, or use Small Amount Exchange

If the minimum is out of reach, each remaining option costs you in a different place.

Buy more to reach the minimum. That's a new purchase with its own quote and possibly a fixed payment fee. Add both purchases together and divide by what finally arrives. Buying once or twice shows how fixed fees spread across two orders.

Leave it in the account. No network fee for now. When the balance grows or the next purchase joins it, run the numbers again against the withdrawal screen.

Convert it with Small Amount Exchange. Binance's FAQ sets these rules:

  • Balances valued under 20 USDT can be converted once every hour into a target coin. The FAQ title lists BNB, BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, U and BFUSD; choose from the coins your own conversion screen offers.
  • A flat 2% fee applies; Alpha tokens are charged 10%.
  • It works from the Spot, Funding and Alpha accounts.
  • If the price moves 5% or more during the conversion, it won't go through.
  • Unlisted or delisted tokens and tokens Binance doesn't support can't be converted; the feature is also unavailable to users migrating off the platform.

In the app: [Assets] → [Spot] → [Small Amount Exchange]. On the website, as in the screenshot below, the steps are also [Assets] → [Spot] → [Small Amount Exchange]. Choose the target coin, tick the assets, tap [Convert], review, then [Confirm].

Converting doesn't make the balance withdrawable by itself. The 2% comes out of the small balance, and the BNB or USDT you get still has to clear its own network minimum. Decide first whether it's going into your next purchase or staying as BNB to pay trading fees.

Next time, work backwards from the withdrawal screen

If the coins are meant for your own wallet, reverse the order. Open the withdrawal screen first, pick a network the recipient supports, note its minimum and fee, and only then decide how much to buy.

The amount has to cover the minimum, the network fee if it's deducted, and any trading fee taken from the coins you receive. That last one is unpacked in received less crypto than expected. Then compare quotes by what lands at the other end; the quote comparison tool takes those numbers directly.

Minimums and fees follow network conditions, and Binance says they can change without notice. If you wait a few days before withdrawing, look again.
